Having trouble registering or logging into your account? We've listed the most frequently asked questions below to help get your queries answered quick.
How to apply and register?
If you would like to join asra Housing Group's register you can apply online here and also by telephone, an office interview or where ever the customer does not have access to online facilities.
If you are homeless, or your safety is at risk, you should speak to your Local Authority.
If you want to move in London we are only accepting applicants for Over 55's properties
To fill out the online application form please complete all the relevant boxes. This can be done by using the drop down menu or selecting the radio button (○).
Please ensure all questions that apply to you and your household are completed.
Some questions must be answered before you can move on to the next part of the application - these will be marked as required.
The more accurately you complete the form, the faster we can process your application.
Please note any offer of accommodation will be subject to satisfactory credit checks being received from our external partner. All references will be made in accordance with the 1988 Data Protection Act.
What information do I need when completing the application form?
- Ensure you know all the date of births for all on the application including yourself and any children
- National Insurance number for yourself and anyone else who is over 16.
- If expecting, due date for the baby(is).
- Your (and any joint applicant) current address and details of previous address's (if applicable) for the last 5 years.
- Income and savings information for you and your partner.
How do we process your application?
We aim to process your application within 5 working days of receipt.
We will notify you by writing within 7 working days of the Category your application has been given, application reference number, username and property eligibility.
If we require further information, your application will be placed on hold and we will ask you for the information we need. You will be given 7 days to provide the information and if we don’t receive it within this time, your application will not be processed. On receipt of the information we will notify you by writing within 7 working days of the Category your application has been given, application reference number, username and property eligibility.
We may shortlist up to 5 qualifying applicants and contact them for a pre-allocation interview and income and vulnerability assessment.
What if my circumstances have changed since I applied?
Please notify us of any change of circumstance or contact details. You can do this via telephone, email, letter or by calling into the office.
Can my application be suspended, refused or cancelled?
Your application will be suspended for a period of 6 months if you refuse 3 reasonable offers of accommodation.
Your application will be suspended for a period of 6 months if you have not expressed an interest in a property for 90 days.
After 12 months from the date you registered your application we will write to you to renew your application if you still wish to remain on our housing register. You will have 14 days to respond. If you do not respond within this time period your application will be cancelled.
You application can be refused if you do not qualify for Social Housing, in line with our Allocations Policy. For more information, see our Are you eligible page.
What is a category?
Generally, a category reflects the level of priority your application has been given as a result of your household circumstances. For a full explanation of categories, please see an explanation on the Our Categories page
How do I apply for properties?
You will be able to Express an Interest in a property via our website. You can express an interest in up to two properties per advert cycle. This means that you can express an interest in four properties per week.
There is a substantial amount of information contained within an advert - such as post code, map link, photos, floor plans, specific location and property details. Applicants are encouraged to take full advantage of the tools and information available at the time of expressing interest to ensure you only express an interest in properties you can see as your potential home.
